Trying to find a simple response for this question. As a FedEx Operations Manager who focuses as well on training and HR, I'm very excited about this! A lot of my references will be from my experience and knowledge, but I will indicate sources below as appropriate. FedEx expands a global supply chain and connection to almost every person in the world by closing the gap to over 220 countries and 6.5 billion people with over 555,000 team members across all 6 operating co-Ops. For those who do not know, the entire FedEx corporation is split into 6 different operating companies. The most notable and first is going to be FedEx Express, which gives the greatest access to the world by operating in each of those 220 plus countries. Each of these countries provide a commitment to the community through career opportunities and development. FedEx produces over $22 billion in annual revenue with a connection to over 360,000 suppliers supporting an estimated 16.5 million jobs in the communities it reaches. My favorite part of working for FedEx is the commitment to small businesses and about 88% of the suppliers are small businesses which supports an estimated 810,000 jobs worldwide. By looking at the development of all 6 operating companies, FedEx is at the forefront of development and acquisitions to stay an industry leader in every operating country. FedEx has given a prime interest in development, for example, in my state of Minnesota. In Minnesota we have recently opened two additional stations that support an additional 1,000+ jobs in our local communities. In terms of standing infrastructure, we are constantly evolving including the addition of environmental initiatives such as a decrease in damages by 20% in FY23 reducing our carbon footprint of returning or repackaging damaged packages. Other initiatives include the introduction of more automated stations to procure better linehaul estimations including the reduction of unnecessary trailers and therefore emissions and resources. FedEx Ground also uses a strictly contractor based last mile delivery model which stimulates separate entities to provide career opportunities and development outside of FedEx that further reaches into communities we may not directly have company owned infrastructure further supporting economic growth in different ways?
