TV program to watch and discuss is Dear White People. This series is actually based upon, and is a continuation from, a 2014 movie of the same name. I would like you to watch season one, episode one. Yes, just one episode. Warnings for sexual content, brief nudity and language. If you choose to go beyond episode one (which is not required for this assignment), the sexual content is more graphic. If you have concerns about watching this program for any of those reasons, please let me know. This program has received mixed reviews. It seems that people either really like it, or they don't. Watch for small details to share with your fellow students. 

For example, as lead character Samantha is walking to the radio station--what is she listening to? What does she do when she sees some classmates? What do you think the show's writers are trying to convey to the audience with that subtle message? For this assignment, I want each of you to start thinking like a TV critic. Share with us what you think about this program, if you recommend it, and WHY. I expect you to offer more than two or three sentences for this discussion post. Be critical; be fair; be thoughtful.
