Twelve patients with high BP were randomly assigned to one of two groups. Talking group (T1) patients were asked questions about their medical history and sources of stress in their lives before BP measurement was taken while the Counting group (T2) patients were asked to count from 1 to 100 four times before their BP measurement was taken.
