The topics should not be simply a word (e.g,, 'euthanasia") but should make an inquiry or state a potential thesis (e.g., Peter Singer's suggestion that parents be able to end the life of children who are severely disabled is a reasonable and consistent with palliative care.) The statement need not be fully developed into a thesis. As a group, the class will select from the topics posed which to pursue for the class group research/papers.
