Two-dimensional arrays and functions
Create your C++ code.
Write the code to create and print a 12 x 12 multiplication table using 2-dimensional array with nested loops.
Global Constants
// Should NOT use any other global data excep this:
const int COL_SIZE = 12;
// Here are two exact required function prototypes for the lab:
void createTable(int array[][COL_SIZE], int rows);
void printTable (int array[][COL_SIZE], int rows, int columnWidth);
// Use this code as is
int main()
{
const int ROW_SIZE = 12;
const int COL_WIDTH = 4;
int table[ROW_SIZE] [COL_SIZE];
createTable(table, ROW_SIZE);
printTable(table, ROW_SIZE, COL_WIDTH);
return 0;
}
Suggestion:
- In createTable(), use a nested "for" loop to fill the table with products of numbers. There is no output (no cout) in this function.
- In printTable(), use a separate simple loop to print the column header (1, 2, 3,.....) first.
Then use a nested "for" loop to print the numbers from the table.
Use setw() with the columnWidth to align the numbers nicely.
- There is no need to print the grid bars for the table
