Two-Way ANOVA with SPSS Popular lore suggests that everyone looks better after you have had a couple of drinks, so a psychologist designs a study to investigate the topic. Groups of men and women are randomly assigned to one of three conditionsone beer, two beers, and three beersand are then asked to rate the attractiveness of people in a collection of male and female photographs, using a 1-100 point scale. The ratings are averaged across images to get an average rating score from each subject. Go through the six steps of hypothesis testing and determine what conclusions can be drawn from the data. Round all values to 2 decimal places. Open Lab 8 SPSS Data set in D2L. To perform a Two ANOVA, go to Analyze, General Linear Model, Univariate. Add the dependent variable to the "Dependent Variable" field. Add the independent variables to the "Fixed Factor" Field. Click "Options" and select "Estimates of Effect size" and "Homogeneity tests. Click "Continue." Since one independent variable has more than 2 levels, select "Post Hoc." Move only the "Drinks" variable to the "Post Hoc Tests for:" section. Select "Tukey" and click continue.
