Under a builders risk policy endorsed with delayed completion coverage-coverage for expenses to reduce loss, the insured will have coverage for expenses necessarily incurred to minimize or avoid a delay in completion only if 

a. the loss was unavoidable. 

b. the expenditures actually reduce the amount otherwise payable for the delay. 

c. the loss was not the fault of the insured. 

d. the loss was unforeseeable
