Understanding and producing language is a complex process. First, watch the following videos on the tip-of-the-tongue phenomenon (the feeling that you know a word but you can't quite bring it fully to mind) and on an individual with split-brain syndrome (which occurs when the two hemispheres of the brain are separated, usually by cutting the corpus callosum via surgery).

Using your new understanding of the brain, describe at least one thing one of these videos demonstrates about how the nervous system understands and/or produces language. What do these examples tell us about language and the brain?
