Assignment Objectives:

• Explain the basic role information technology plays in a business environment
• Compose papers and presentations appropriate for the professional business world

Assignment Details and Assignment Description: Your supervisor has just finished taking a college course in which she learned about flow-charting and data-flow diagrams. In the data-flow diagrams, there are four basic symbols that are used. Prepare a written paper describing and discussing these symbols, including:

• Why these symbols are important?
• How they can help accounting information systems to be better understood?

Remember to use credible resources to support your argument. Be sure to cite your sources using the correct standard of APA. Remember to use APA format for paper Times New Roman, 12 point font size, double spaced, and 1 margins (normal margin layout).

The assignment will be graded in accordance with the following grading rubric:
