Please solve the following problem in detail also by using excel image text in transcribed
The following feed of 1,400mol/h at the boiling point and 400kPa pressure is fed to a fractionating tower: n-butane (xA=0.35), n-pentane (xB=0.30), n-hexane (xC=0.25), n-heptane (xD=0.10). This feed is distilled so that 95% of the n-butane (A) is recovered in the distillate and 80% of the n-pentane (B) in the bottoms. Calculate the following: a. Moles per hour and composition of distillate and bottoms. b. Top and bottom temperature of the tower. c. Minimum stages for total reflux. d. Distribution of other components (trace components) in the distillate and bottoms. e. Minimum reflux ratio using the Underwood method. f. Number of theoretical stages at an operating reflux ratio of 1.2 times the minimum using the Erbar-Maddox correlation. B. Location of the feed tray using the Kirkbride method. For full marks show all your work clearly on relevant figures/charts and attach them with your submission. Clearly show all the steps of the calculation
