State a research hypothesis in non-technical terms (ex: A majority of Polk county Iowans approve of the U.S. President.) b. State the null and alternative hypotheses using formal notation. (ex: H0: p = 0.5 H1: p > 0.5 where p is the proportion of Polk County Iowans who approve of the U.S. President) 3. Indicate the population you intend to infer your result to. [Hint: The sample from your source should be representative of this population.] 4. Carry out an appropriate hypothesis test using StatCrunch. Thoroughly report your findings by including: a. Describe the sampling method and any other details about the data collection process. b. State your sample statistic(s). c. Describe the statistical test used, state the assumptions for this method, and verify or justify what they hold here. d. State the test statistic value and P-value. e. State the conclusion and interpret the result in context. [Hint: This should reference the P-value and answer your original question of interest.] f.
