Use Microsoft Project.

You will need to complete three major project phases: Concept, Planning, and Requirements Determination.

During the concept or project identification phase you will need to evaluate the current system to uncover business process problems, and then create a system request. These steps will take you 6, and 2 days respectively.

After you complete the concept phase, you begin planning. During the planning phase, you will need to first complete a feasibility analysis. The team will concurrently analyze technical, economic, and organizational feasibility, and estimates that each will take 1 day. Then you will estimate effort (1 day) and then create a workplan (2 days).

Requirements Determination is the longest phase and it begins after planning. You will first identify requirements analysis techniques and gathering techniques, each taking 2 days. You will need to identify analysis techniques first, and then determine gathering techniques. Then you will need to identify functional and non-functional requirements. To do this, you will conduct interviews, beginning with a one day interview with the project sponsor. Then you will concurrently complete separate one day interviews with finance and marketing contacts. At the same time as you are conducting interviews, you will gather and analyze survey information which consists of three sequential steps, creating the survey (1 day), administering it (2 days), and analyzing the results (3 days).
