Use the minutes for this question if you cannot find the summary. Write up a summary of the chief points discussed in the most recent meeting. In your summary, identify the committee's position on the economy, a future outlook, and any remarks on fiscal policy.

2. Find a recent news story (within the last 6 months) from The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg News, The Financial Times,or The Economist which focuses on the current Federal Reserve monetary policy (but is different from what you found for question 1). You may access these publications through the SU Library website.

Explain the thrust of the article to someone who knows nothing about economics. Keep your answer under two pages and cite your sources. You will be graded on the quality of your explanation.
