1. For each of the variables in the next tab "econ": what is the average, the standard deviation, min, max, and number of observation?

2 The variable sex indicates the sex of the head of a household. What percentage of households are headed by female (1 is male, 2 is female)?

What percentage of households are urban (variable =urban98, 0 is rural and 1 is urban)? What is the average household size (hhsize) for urban housholds with a male head of household? What is the average household size for urban housholds with a male head of household?

3. Create a new variable, agegroup, which takes value 1 if the individual is younger than 25 years, value 2 for age group 25-29, 3 for age group 30-34, 4 for age group 35-39, 5 for age group 40-44, 6 for age group 45-49, and 7 for ages 50 and above. Use either nested if() or vlookup() for creating this new variable. How many female heads of houshold are there in the age group 30-34?

4. Examine graphically the relationship between age of the head of household and location of the household (urban vs. rural), using pivot graph. In this graph, each bar should show the average value of urban for one of the age categories defined in question 3. 5. What percentage of households are urban for those headed by a female older than 50?
