Input problems' data into SPSS (see instructions below) and use SPSS for step 4 (calsulations step) of your five-step model of hypothesis testing. Here are the "new" 5 steps: Step 1. Assumptions Step 2. State your hypotheses Step 3. Establish critical region Step 4. Run SPSS analysis. Interpret SPSS output, including Post Hoc Analysis table if the test is needed. Remember, if you find that there is no difference between the populations' groups, there is no need to do the Post-Hoc test, however, if you find that the difference exists, then you want to know what group(s) is different from the others. Step 5. Make your decision about the null hypothesis and state your conclusions. Do not do problems 10.4 and 10.6 by hand. However, if you want more practice, by all means do them by hand first and then input the data into SPSS and run the analysis in SPSS.
