Windows Sales Company keeps information on its employees and the departments they work in. Every department has a name, internal mailbox number, and telephone extension. An employee is assigned to a specific department at any given time. The company has salaried, hourly, and contract employees, each of whom are given a unique employee number when hired. The employees name and address are also recorded.
- Hourly employees are assigned an hourly wage and are paid based on hours worked per week.
- Salaried employees are given a fixed, annual amount, distributed in a series of paychecks through the year. Some of the salaried employees are Salespeople, who can earn a commission on top of their annual salary.
- Contract employees are paid based on the number of hours worked and the billing rate per hour. The beginning and ending dates of their contract, the accumulated number of hours, and the billing rate per hour must be tracked in the database.
