Information:
On Jan1st,2022, an Omani entrepreneur, Mohammed Said, established his own hypermarket for selling
food and home stuff and called it Super Hypermarket. He registered his business at the Ministry of
Commerce in Muscat on 31st March 2022. The capital written in the commercial registration was OMR
60,000. On 1st April 2022, he registered electronically at the secretariat General for taxation. However,
he started his operation on 1st April 2022. Therefore, the first accounting period ended on 31st
December 2022. The taxable income earned during the first accounting period was OMR 549,000. He
submitted the provisional return on 2nd February 2023 while the final return was submitted on 1st April
2023. The hypermarket address is as follows:

resources council.
4) Mr. Ahmed is the owner, and he works on full time-basis. His salary in the contract is OMR
2,000.
5) Bad debts of OMR 10,000 were not able to be collected. However, from one of the debtor OMR
5,000 was collected.
6) The beginning balance of carrying value of plant and machines was OMR 300,000. Straight-line
Method was used with depreciation rate of 18.2%.
