Scenario - There was conflict about the design of an end-of-y party invitation. The invitation needed to be finalized and sent out to all staff by the end of the week. Social club committee members were arguing about a specific design element and there was heated discussion. Instead of arguing, the strategy of compromise should have been used.

Why - Using the strategy of compromise will mean reaching a resolution that everyone can live with. The strategy of compromise is ideal when time is short, and the conflict has limited impact to the business. The end of year party invitation will be finished, and the social committee can work towards completing another task.
