Using a reputable website, find a detailed job posting that interests you. Be sure that the posting has enough information to help you in creating a cover letter and resum. Copy the job posting and paste it into a Word document. Remember, this is not a job that you are actually qualified for, but one that will assist you in creating a detailed cover letter and resum. Once you have chosen a detailed job posting, make a cover letter and resume that respond to the posting. Use the information from chapter 10 in your textbook to assist you with formats. Once you have completed both documents, I would like you to highlight select pieces of information in all three documents. For example, if the job posting requires "exceptional oral and written communication skills", I would like you to highlight where you've addressed that information in your application package. Keep in mind that not all information needs to be included in both the cover letter and resum. For example, if one of the requirements for the position is that you are a "highly motivated individual", then you would likely include this information in your cover letter only, and not repeat the information in your resum.
