Aspen may be used to generate a phase envelope like
this. A flash tank is a great way to carry out this kind of
analysis in the simulation environment - an arbitrary
feed stream to a FLASH-2 separator will produce liquid
and vapor streams at a specified pressure, given that the
vapor fraction is between zero and one.
For isopropanol and the SRK thermodynamic method,
generate a phase envelope (P-h diagram) for pressures
from 1 bar to within 0.2 bar of the critical pressure. For
the enthalpy values, use units of kJmol.
