Dr. Penrod needs to make some extra money to help pay off his student loans. All the talk of horseback riding lessons in the ZyBook inspired him. He already has horses, and this is a great way to use them. He needs your help creating a database to keep track of the lesson schedule and other items. Here are the business rules he has gathered so far:
1) Each horse can be used in many different lessons. A lesson must have one horse.
2) Each student can take many lessons. A lesson must have one student.
3) Each employee teaches lessons. A lesson must have one employee.
4) Each horse is taken care of by one employee. Each employee takes care of many horses.
Based on these business rules, please create an ERD showing the entities, relationships, and appropriate connectivity. Refer to the user story below from Joe, the horse trainer, to determine some attributes for each entity. Make sure to do your best to determine and identify the primary key and any foreign keys in each entity.
The farm needs to keep track of the horses. We must be able to tell the students which breed of horse they will ride, the horse's name, and most of the time, they like to know their age and height. I must send information to the students for billing as well as remind them of their lesson time. I like to email reminders but mail out the invoices. I need similar information for each employee. As far as the lessons go, we like to keep track of the horses, students, and employees that are involved each day and time. After reading through Chapter 4 in ZyBooks and watching the videos on using Draw.io to create ERDs and Crows Foot Notation, complete the following ERD in Draw.io.
