Using the most current annual report (Form 10K), a paraphrased synthesis of the background (history), and current business model for Southwest Airlines.

This section should be no less than two pages and address the history, including any prior mergers or acquisitions or dispositions/spin offs, a thorough description of the business model (how - exactly - does this company make money) and a description of the current status of the company (growing, stable, retrenching, etc.).

As you are reviewing the annual report and other credible sources of information, consider that questions you will need to answer in the remaining phases of the project. You would be well advised to start a "notes" document to use as you move through the remainder of the project.
