Utilising your own employing organisation or an organisation you are familiar with this assessment requires you to produce an assignment which puts forward and analysis of and recommendations for the organisations resourcing strategy.

The overarching themes of the discussion concerns strategic resourcing strategies. You should evidence key literatures and demonstrate a critical analysis of the topics.

The following four areas should be used to guide your assignment. You must make explicit reference to each in a balanced and logical manner. You will be expected to address comprehensively ALL four areas .

1. The impact of changing employment markets (national and/or international) addressing where the organisation sources their staff. You might consider issues in the macro environment which may impact the organisations ability to source staff.
2. Critically assess issues connected with resourcing and talent management strategies including, diversity management and flexible working.
3. Critically analyse how your resourcing strategy deals with effective resourcing, efficiency, the law and professionalism in resourcing.
4. Refer to how the organisation is/can undertake long and short-term talent planning. Provide evidence of analysis of data concerning employee turnover and make recommendations for employee retention.

You must as a minimum provide evidence of the overarching theme concerning high performance work systems.

You must ensure that you evidence wide reading around the subject area, including evidence of review of key journal texts pertinent to each area. You will be expected to evidence academic authors work concerning performance management.

You must provide evidence from the organisational context, utilising either your own organisation or any organisation you are familiar with.
