Variable of interest: type of pet owner (cat or dog) and how introverted each of them are

Hypothesis: Cat owners are less introverted than dog owners.

Empirical reportThe article talks about how ones pet choice reflects their own personality and lifestyle. This article also discussed the same variables I was interested in about comparing a group of dog owners and cat owners and seeing which of the two were more introverted. After reading up on the results, the article rejects my hypothesis. Cat owners are more introverted compared to other pet owners but its also important to know that there is more variability within the group than between groups.
