variant is 3.

Problem No. 2 Joints of machine elements. Calculations on strength Different types of joints of machine elements are shown in Figures 0 - 9. Steel sheets (see Figures 0,1 and 2) are connected each other with the aid of rivets with diameter d. But in Figures 3 and 4 the same rivets are used to attach steel sheets with thickness h to the support plate. In Figures 5, 6 and 7 rectangular plate is welded to massive stationary base with fillet welds. In Figure 8 tubular sleeve is welded to the shaft with diameter 10d, but in Figure 9 such sleeve is attached to the shaft with the aid of cylindrical pin with diameter d. In all variants allowable stresses for material of elements to be jointed, for rivets and pins are considered as follows: []=150MPa, []s.b=250MPa and []=100MPa. Allowable stress for material of weld is equal to []w=80MPa. It is necessary to determine parameter whily is labeled in the table with question symbol. Variant from the table is taken in accordance with the first figure of student code, but drawing - in accordance with the second figure of student code. lg. 0
