Victim rights have been established to protect the victims and make sure they are compensated for their suffering. Also, Viictim's right was set to ensure victims are not left out of accusing case or trial that has to do with their case. Victim rights were also established to protect the victim and have rights to a reasonable attorney, and victim rights protect dignity and privacy. The victim also has the right to statement and present a document and evidence in a trial that can affect their case. A victim statement can jeopardize a case highly. I feel that this has shaped the sentencing part of a trial because the victim has the choice to be part of the trial and not be left out of prosecution and know what is happening. Then there is paid restitution, which is for their pain and suffering and maybe property that may have been taken or damaged. It is essential that victims and their families get justice and not be left out of court proceedings for their cases.
