Vila Health has a group of senior leadership roles reporting to the president and board of directors that include director and deputy directors in patient care, hospital administration, diagnostic services, and general services. Throughout the history of Vila Health, seasoned physicians, in a few cases near retirement, have filled all of these roles. The board of directors now seeks to fill two vacancies with roles in nursing and allied healthcare leaders.
Your role is to assist in the interview panelist selection, which is to include four panelists and the president of the hospital, Lana White, esquire, 56. Consideration in panelist selection should be given to women, people of color, LGBTQ community members, and disabled professionals as well as professional qualifications and background. The intent is to compose a panel that will support the potential for the first-ever non-physician to be selected for one or both of the vacant positions. It will be made clear that non-physicians, women, people of color, and LGBTQ interviewees are acceptable choices.
The panelist list includes the following to choose four from:
- Joaquin Rodrigues, 47, Doctor of Nursing Practice, Latino, senior manager of nursing staff.
- Alley Wagner, 61, Doctor of Allopathic Medicine (MD), Caucasian, senior physician diabetes clinic.
- Margret Hooks, 37, Nurse (RN), African American, Emergency Department nursing supervisor.
- Mark Crossman, 45, Doctor of allopathic medicine (MD), Caucasian, LGBTQ, attending physician, Medical Surgery Services.
- Daryl Sharman, 43, Doctor of Pharmacy, senior manager of the hospital pharmacy services, Native American.
- Butch Moser, 33, Doctor of Physical Theory (DPT), Caucasian, senior physical therapist, and member of Physical Therapy services.
- Danny Valentine, 72, Doctor of allopathic medicine, (MD), Caucasian, Chief of Internal Medicine, disabled.
