Briefly outline the design details of the primary grid substation (100 kV to 33 kV) including a SCADA system. From the transmission line, electric power of 500 MW is transmitted by a 3-phase-, an overhead system to the outskirts of Ottawa. The electric power is received by the primary grid sub-station which reduces the voltage level to 33 kV for secondary transmission. The primary grid substation is generally of the outdoor type
