$?.$ Despite what Dee$/$Wangero says in this letter, it seems that she has not been back to visit since she went off to school sometime between when the old house burned down $"[$t$]$en$,$ twelve years" ago $(316)$ and when Mama and Maggie moved into their current home. And when she does come, she does in fact bring a friend $($or$,$ perhaps, husband$).$ What do you make of this discrepancy?

$?)$ I think that since she hasn't been home in so long her family maybe just wanted to spend sometime with her to themselves. they aren't to eager meet anyone she has been dealing with, weather it is a friendship or relationship.
