He would like to track sales, customers and employees. After initial meeting with Wally, you have developed a list of business rules and specifications to begin the design of an Entity Relationship model. Draw an ER diagram for the following business rules. Wally would like to track the following about customers: Name, Address and Date of Birth. A customer may place many orders. Order consists of Order Date and Credit Status. An order may be placed by many customers. A customer may have one or more accounts and may also have no accounts. An account belongs to exactly one customer. The following information needs to be recorded about accounts: Type, Balance and Last Payment Date. Branches may have many customers. The following information needs to be recorded about branch: Branch Number and Location (Address, City, State, Zip Code) A branch may sell all items or may only sell certain items and an item may be sold by one or more branches. Customer belongs to at least one or more branches. Orders are composed of one or more items and an item must be composed of more than one order. We wish to record the following about each item: Description, Color and Type. Wally employs fifty-six employees. He would like to track the following information about employees: Name, Address, Skill and Age. Employees can have one or more skills. Each employee works in one and only one branch. A branch must have one or more employees. Each employee may have more than one dependent and each dependent has only one employee. Notice that an instance of dependent cannot exist without an employee owner entity. We wish to record the name of the dependent as well as the age and relationship.
