The subsidiaries include Walton Motors, Walton Mobile, Walton Electronics, and Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited.SM Nurul Alam Rezvi founded the Walton Group of Industries in 1977 as a trading company. The group’s Vision is “Aspiring to be a bold leader among the top five global Electric and Electronic brands.” Over the next three decades, the group diversified into steel, textiles, electronics, and automobiles. Walton entered the steel industry in the late 1970s and the electronics and cars in the early 2000s; these areas would drive its subsequent growth. Since the 2000s, Walton has expanded towards electronics and automobiles, which became its most important income source. In 2017, Walton inaugurated theirsmartphoneandtabletmanufacturing plant, “Walton Digi-Tech Industries.”In 2018, it launched its first computer and laptop manufacturing plant. The brand has more than 350 sales points called Walton Plaza and over 25,000 dealers across the country. The dominance of foreign brands and imported goods has almost ended due to the quality of Walton goods and our affordable price.After being successful in the local market, Walton is expanding their operations globally. At present, Walton manufactures a mindboggling array of gadgets ranging from mobile phones to laptops, washing machines to microwave ovens, blenders to gas stoves, electric fans to LED bulbs exports to 40 countries in Africa, Europe and Asia. The African countries and the Middle East could be big markets for Walton as the countries prefer to import finished goods as there is workforce shortage and labour cost is high.The group expects Bangladesh will be the next destination for electronic goods and home appliances, considering the price and quality of products. Today, Walton has more than 20000 employees in 22 production bases under 680+ acres of factory area. The capacity of yearly production is 10 million units based on the market demands.The leading conglomerate of Bangladesh currently exports locally made electronic products to over 40 countries worldwide, mainly in the Middle-East and African markets, including some European nations such as Germany and Romania. The brand started initially by producing motorcycles and refrigerators. It has operations in full swing in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Maldives, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Nigeria and West Africa.
