Watch PBS Frontline video "Cliffhanger"., on what you observed, what are root causes of conflict, was there a better solution than the one that was reached, what changes would you recommend to make a better process, or do you think that this is how things should be and that democracy is a messy process.

Include the major macro-economic problems that the President and Congress were trying to address ( jobs, inflation, growth etc.) and the role budget deficits played in the negotiations.
