Water stream (density 996.4 kg/m3, viscosity 0.656 mPas) is fed to the shell side of a shell and tube heat exchanger. The inner diameter of the shell is 45 cm, it contains 71 tubes of diameter 25/30 mm. Linear velocity is 0.6 m/s. Calculate the Reynolds number. Please note that: Method of calculation: Reynolds number at the shell side is linear velocity*equivalent diameter*density/dynamic viscosity Equivalent diameter can be calculated as 4*cross section of the flow over wetted perimeter.

If you only write my below answer and your calculation be wrong I will report you to Chegg customer services as same I did yesterday last warming to solve my questions wrong all the calculations are wrong must be all your calculation right.

The correct answer is 48958 this is the answer just to check your calculation note that your calculation must be correct when multiplying numbers :)
