We have read several articles concerning economic theories. Using Communist Manifesto, The Gospel of Wealth, and Why The Rich get Richer and the Poor get Poorer, argue about the relative strengths or weaknesses of the theories. Roger and Me will serve as your evidence. Rather than a random collection of ideas, try to focus on a particular theme or two within economics and pick the ideas from the writers that you find compelling, provocative, convincing, or problematic on that theme. Identify the premises they are making about the focused theme and evaluate them. Which theory seems more or less correct? Whose ideas seem to be the most convincing? The thesis should be supported with at least 5 body paragraphs (premises) each including quotes from the readings and evidence from Roger and Me.

A strong essay will correctly identify fallacies, definition issues, and hidden assumptions when appropriate. I

A counterargument should be included as well. What objection might someone make to one of your points? How might you react to that?
