We have the 2AB+C reaction in the liquid phase and we want to analyze the advisability of carrying it out isothermally in a single CSTR or in several CSTRs in series. The feed stream has a volumetric flow rate of 3.5m3/h and has an A concentration of 48kmol/m3, and it is known that at the operating temperature the rate constant of the forward reaction is 2104m3/kmols, and the equilibrium constant is 16 . If the final concentrations of both products are required to be 85% of the equilibrium concentration, determine: a) The volume of a single CSTR that will be needed to carry out the reaction. (10 points) b) If the tanks available for use as series CSTR have a capacity of 10% of the single reactor, calculate the number of reactors needed, the conversion at the outlet of each one, and the total volume. (20 points)
