Have you ever had a goal that was set, you reached it and no reward or recognition was given? Can you remember the goal and how it felt?

Let's take a look at some goals that you want to reach in the next 5 years. Thinking about your organization, current position, or the position you will be pursuing -- use the SMARTER acronym to list your personal, work, or career goals.

After you have thought about the goals you set, ask yourself these questions:

What is my role in the organization, or what will be my role?

How do my goals align with the organizational goals? If they don't align what steps would you take to try and align them?
