Welcome to MyLab Accounting! To begin, read the following problem statement. Suppose Earth - Now offers an international calling plan that charges $8 per month plus $0.20 per minute for calls outside the United States. Requirements 1. Under this plan, what is your monthly international long-distance cost if you call Europe for a. 30 minutes? b. 60 minutes? c. 120 minutes? 2. Fill in the graph illustrating your total cost under this plan. Show your costs at 30, 60, and 120 minutes. Begin to work through Requirement 1. Normally you would enter an amount and click the Check Answer button at the bottom of the screen to see how you did. For the purpose of this tutorial, we will give you the cost for each scenario in Requirement 1. Requirement 1. a. If your calls to Europe amounted to 30 minutes, your monthly international long-distance cost would be $14. b. If your calls to Europe amounted to 60 minutes, your monthly international long-distance cost would be $20. c. If your calls to Europe amounted to 120 minutes, your monthly international long-distance cost would be $32. Requirement 2. Fill in the graph illustrating your total cost under this plan. Plot the points for the costs at 30, 60, and 120 minutes, then plot the line for the total costs. The graphs in MyLab Accounting require that all of the points are plotted and/or lines are drawn before checking your answer. Click the 'point tool' button, plot only one point, and then select the 'Check answer' button at the bottom of the screen to see the result. It will let you know you have not drawn enough objects and/or drawn the wrong objects. (Enlarge the graph to medium size and use the point tool and line tool buttons displayed below to draw the graph.)
