Need for a Diversity Project Based on a recent internal survey, leadership at Mercy Medical Center realised that close to 67% of staff felt that it was underrepresented. Further, when members of the leadership analysed the patient satisfaction scores of the last 3 years, they found that the scores had dropped and that this was influenced by a lack of representation of the diverse patient base.
