Amandla takes the ght for rights in South Africa and in that small sample provides hope and inspiration to those who watch it. The use of slow motion, using actual clips from the ghts and riots, to interviews from people on both sides of the ght created a new angle in almost every scene, capturing all of the attention of the audience. I think it won the award in 2002 for being a concise and accurate, yet interesting, depiction of the South African revolution. With a personal love for music, I understand the power in the arts.
