John Goh saw the message and replied that he was only prepared to accept $700. Wesley Soon responded with the following message: "I am not willing to pay $700. I will get back to you regarding the price".

Wesley Soon spoke to his friend, Charles Ding. Charles Ding saw the online advertisement and said that gaming laptop is worth more than $1,000. Wesley Soon quickly sent the following message to John Goh: "Hi John Goh. I have decided to accept your price of $700. I will give you $700 in cash in exchange for the gaming laptop. Let me know when and where we may meet to close the deal"
