We’ve explored individual-level factors, family-related factors, and structural level factors to help explain the discrepancies in academic achievement and academic outcomes of Chicanx/Latinx students. Although the intersectionality of these factors is what helps us obtain a holistic understanding of the conditions created for varying outcomes, which set of factors (individual, familial, or structural) is more strongly correlated with benefiting white students and negatively impacting Chicanx/Latinx students? Provide an example and explain how it creates the conditions that ultimately push Chicanx/Latinx students out of the educational system.
