What are 2-3 key differences in how Korean and U.S. media talk about the shooting?

The first difference was that the Korean media labeled the attack as racially motivated while the U.S media highlighted that the motive of the shooter was a sex addiction. This shows that the two had different motivations when reporting about the shooting, with the Korean media choosing to shed light on the existing racism in the country while the U.S. media choosing to hide the real intent of the shooting.

The second difference was that Korean media highlighted the testimony of the victims and those around the area while the U.S. media did not bother to include any statements from the victims or those in surrounding areas. The U.S. media chose to use the statement made by the shooter, which hides the real motive of the crime which was a racially motivated crime.

The difference between how the Korean media and U.S. media talk about the shooting is motive. Essentially, the Korean media seems to highlight that the crime was racially motivated, while the U.S media does not want to portray that there is racially motivated crime in the country. As such, the U.S. media conveniently leaves out the statements of the victims who were on ground and thus were knowledgeable on what was happening, choosing to incline to the shooters statement which would not incriminate the country.
