What are the differences and similarities between "political bonds" and "forms of association" based off of these definitions of them

Political bonds are defined as connecting people with one another "and to assume among the powers of the earth the separate but equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's god entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation." Whereas Rousseau's "form of association is defined as "defends and protects the person and possessions of each associate with all the common strengths and by means of which each person joining forces with all, nevertheless obeys only himself and remains free as before."
