Write an informal report (essay paper) using APA7 format and APA7 citation. (exceptions: use 12-pt font size and double-line spacing**)**

Task 1

  • Using your textbook, draft your report; explain (describe) what is communication. In your explanation, address the following:

    • what are the guidelines for ethical communication?
  • Include the textbook and class material in your References list and include all appropriate intext citations for quoting, paraphrasing, and using ideas.
  • Keep this version for submission (do not overwrite it!)

Task 2

  • Find two (2) additional sources using the Sheridan Library services.
  • Incorporate new information from these sources in your paper appropriately, including intext citations and addition to your references list.
  • Complete a full CRAAPP evaluation for both sources. (The evaluation should explain why you found these sources credible; not just picking a number) Include as Addendum and should be understandable on its own - include the full reference information with a paragraph or two (alternately, APA point form) of your analysis, for each. (will probably fit a single page)
  • You may need to read more than two and evaluate each before choosing two. (The discarded sources are not mentioned in your paper.)
  • Incorporate the new information in your draft from Task 1. The new information should either expand the existing content, or should support the existing content.
  • You may also want to review Academic Integrity module to ensure you are following all ethical guidelines.
  • Using the writing process in the textbook, revise and edit until you complete the final version.

Other information

  • Use MS Word and Google docs. You will be asked to submit a PDF file (Learn and practice how to print to a PDF, if you are not familiar. Don't leave it till the last minute. No other formats will be accepted.)
  • The length of the report should be between 500 and 600 words

Additional guidance:

The content of the report is arranged as described in Chapter 11, OUTLINING section, and should including introduction, central section, and conclusion (no background section). Each paragraph must follow standard paragraph, as defined in Chapter 11. Choose appropriate sequencing and include:

  • Opening summary with no heading.
  • Using appropriate headings and standard paragraphs, the body of your paper.
  • Closing with no heading.
