The plant has one service department and three producing departments. The table below shows details with respect to these departments: Building space (sq. ft.) Value of machinery Horsepower rating Compensation insurance rate (per P100) MACHINING DEPARTMENT 10 ooo 30,000 100 1.50 PAINTING DEPARTMENT 10,000 1.50 ASSEMBLY DEPARTMENT 4,000 6,000 1.00 GEN FACTORY COST POOL 2,000 2,000 1.00 During Januaw, certain assets expired and some liabilities accrued as outlined below: b. c. Depreciation on buildings,3% per year, cost P60,000 Depreciation on machinery based on 10 year life, machinery cost, P48,000 Propetty tax for the year ending December 31 is estimated to be P1,200 (60% on buildings and 40% on machinery) Fire insurance in the amount of P 100,000 is carried on buildings and machinery and the rate is P.60 per P100 coverage. Sixty percent of this insurance applies to buildings. The prepaid fire insurance account shows a balance of P300 at January 31 before adjustment. Compensation insurance for January is based on the following earnings of factory employees: Machining Department, P3,000; Painting Department, P 1,200; Assembly Department, P 1,600; and General Factory Cost Pool, P600. The power meter reading of January 31 shows 12,500 kilowatt-hours consumed. The rate is P.03 per kilowatt-hour. The light bill for January is P300. Supplies requisitions show P180 used in the Machining department, P230 in the Assembly Department, and P410 in the General Factory Cost Pool.
