What are your instincts ? 1. Two friends argue about which way is fastest to get to the other side of a *40m wide river to save a cute little puppy 150m downstream whose very weak body is caught between two boulders. Big, sharp boulders.. Jake says that he would get to the dog faster by swimming at 2.0 m/s and using the 6.0 m/s current to get down the river and then running at his average-joe speed of 3.5 m/s to get to the dog. Haley was a sprinter in high school (but ain't as good as she once was.!) but can still run at an impressive average speed of 6.0 m/s. She can run alongside the river until she gets to the bridge over the river, leading her right to the doggo. Not to put any more pressure on either of them, but the puppy seems to be losing air.. only has maybe 30 seconds to live with that thing pressing on his little baby lungs. Do they save the puppy ? Who would have killed the puppy if they were alone ? You should be finding the time it takes Jake to reach the poor pup, and also the time it takes Haley. Tell me who would have been res- ponsible for this puppy's death if the other person wasn't there. I would also like to know the total distance covered by each of the friends. Vcurrent : 6mis
