There are several ways that organizations use control systems in order to maintain or improve quality of products/services. One of the ways that organizations are able to continually maintain or improve their products or services is through Total Quality Management. Through TQM organizations are able to use data to measure improvements in their products or services. In TQM control system customer satisfaction is seen and valued. Customer feedback is used as part of the firm's control system in TQM because customers can rate their experience or quality of product/service; which then becomes valued data for the organization. Through the use of the data organizations are able to determine where there needs to be more training or more changes to be made in order to show improvement.
