Sports fans care about players and follow their life so they would likely support them if they decided they would go on strike. Labor disputes show that the league is not a unity front and if they are perceived as unfair then there will be major social and economic implications. Socially, people would bash the league and not attend their games if it comes out that they are not doing right by the players or employees. If this happens socially then economically they will struggle since the money the league receives comes from ticket sales and views. Furthermore, sports are something that brings people together. If integrity is taken out of the game then people will assume that there are other aspects that are not being fairly taken care of either. The league's job is to uphold players and coaches to a professional and ethical standard, which means that they have to maintain that same standard. If labor disputes are not fixed quickly then the revenue and moral will be down
