WHAT CAN I RESPOND TO THIS IN THIS OR ADD TO THIS DISCUSSION?

 

The culture I have learned most about was down in the Dominican where I got to travel too and see my friends' family and where they all live and how they live down there. He was my roommate last year at Park and we play Baseball together now so it is very cool to see where he came from and him getting used to the US and to live here. We struggled to communicate the first year as we had a language barrier and obviously him coming to a new country was very difficult at times. Today, he has gotten more comfortable and is someone I talk to almost everyday but it was definitely eye opening to see him leave his home country to play college baseball in America, very cool. I used some pretty good interpersonal communication skills to communicate or show him how I felt because you can still communicate without using words, such as body language, eye contact, hand gestures, etc.
