What do you suspect is the true proportion of whole numbers that are odd? _________. Why do you suspect this? I suspect the true proportion

  1. What do you suspect is the true proportion of whole numbers that are odd? _________. Why do you suspect this? I suspect the true proportion of odd numbers to be 0.5. I suspect this because for all whole odd and even numbers alternate hence 50% is odd.
  2. If each of 20 people generated a random sample of whole numbers and constructed a 95% confidence interval for the proportion that are odd, how many intervals are expected to contain the true proportion? __________The meaning of 95% confidence interval is that, there is 95% confident that the interval will contain 95% of the true proportion. Calculating 95% of the 20 people randomly generated we have 19. Hence, we expect 19 intervals out of the total 20 to contain to contain the true proportion.
  3. Groups confidence interval are 0.432 - 0.628, 0.494 - 0.686 and 0.409 - 0.598
  4. Based on the results of your group's confidence intervals, has your answer to #1 changed? Account for any discrepancy.
  5. What percentage of your group's confidence intervals contain the true proportion? Is this what you expected? (Refer to #1 and #2.)

Please complete question 4 and 5 base on information from question 1 and 2.
